About the Journal

Language Review: International Journal of Linguistics (LRIJL) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, and refereed scholarly journal published annually by the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Faculty of Arts, Federal University Lokoja, Nigeria.

The journal serves as a reputable academic platform dedicated to advancing knowledge in Linguistics, Languages, and Literature. It encourages submissions of original and unpublished research articles, dialogues, and book reviews that contribute innovative ideas, contemporary insights, and scholarly debates within the discipline. Research that addresses both diachronic and synchronic dimensions of language, as well as interdisciplinary studies linking language to fields such as Education, Philosophy, Social Sciences, Religious Studies, and Anthropology, is highly welcomed.

LRIJL publishes high-quality empirical studies, theoretical investigations, case analyses, critical essays, and systematic reviews. By promoting rigorous scholarship and intellectual exchange, the journal fosters informed academic dialogue across traditional and evolving areas of linguistic inquiry.
