This study examines how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by oil companies in
the Niger Delta address youth restiveness and promote social stability. Using a quantitative survey
complemented by a literature review, data were collected from 200 respondents (75% response
rate).
The study anchored on Framing Theory and Conflict Management Theory, the study adopted a
quantitative survey design complemented by descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.
Findings indicate that CSR has potential to foster peace and stability, but its impact is limited by
implementation challenges. The study underscores the need to strengthen CSR strategies to more
effectively address youth restiveness and support sustainable development in the region.
